I regret to say my thanks for your

Services last Sept was more than justified. My Son was single had no Will out there. He was ill only about 4 days. I had

news on the same day informing me of the Death. on Sept I wrote Messrs Steine & Sons ! & Butterfield Square London EC. The London Agents. That the deceased's effects be Shipped home to myself. excepting only His furniture. And it was to be sold. And every other item to be sent Home. Messrs Steine & Sons replied on the 8th Stating that His effects would be in the hands

of the Supreme Court.

And the form of Br. I at Hong Kong wired under date Sep 2 Announcing the death and that they should enquire after my son's effects. But made no mention of the Supreme Court or of any such custom in such a Case
